Dawa Tsering Tech Enthusiast and Software Engineer I am an aspiring Cloud Developer passionate about learning, building, and empowering communities. I became the youngest teacher in an Italian-English Bilingual school and enjoyed teaching Math while I was still a junior at Baruch college. Then I started my journey in the tech field less than a year ago in my senior year by self-learning web development and the concepts of Cybersecurity. It was a wonderful experience volunteering and training college students about computer security topics and hands-on practices as a technical program manager for CodePath. I was the founder and the director of the technology committee for the Baruch Association for Information Systems. I enjoy traveling and immersing myself in a new culture, especially trying different cuisines. I also play my acoustic sometimes.

Projects

• Developed an app that utilizes an API to generate recipes in python using Django, SQLite, HTML/CSS, AWS Boto3, AWS S3, JSON, GitHub and run on AWS EC2 server
• Learned about the fundamentals of cloud-based programming in Python and Python scripting frameworks
• Learned to use the Linux Operating System and write scripts that communicate with the kernel
• Learned the concepts, syntax, and benefits of contemporary cloud computing like Virtualization, Cloud Storage, Cloud Monitoring

• Semester-long competition that challenges student teams to propose innovative ideas to help improve services provided by higher education or New York City Government using IBM Watson technology and IBM Cloud
• Presented DeepOcean, a web-application to rally the support of environment-conscious customers and drive users to break free from the plastic cycle of produce-use-discard by using data visualization and UX design
